You’ve created a website with your portfolio, you’ve got a good offer, and you know you need to send more emails.

Where do you actually find clients to email?

We’re all familiar with the big household names like Coke, Pepsi, Redbull... but where do you find the smaller brands that are actually willing to work with you?

The best way to find new clients is through Amazon.

Once you’ve picked your niche, you can find hundreds of companies in that industry all through Amazon (thanks Bezos).

Let’s say you’re a food and beverage photographer. There are a lot of industries within this niche. You’ve got juice, teas, coffee, chips... this list is LONG. All you need to do is pick one industry, type it into Amazon, and you’re presented with hundreds of potential clients.

Let’s say you want to target the Matcha industry. I would first create a Google Sheet with columns like First Name, Email, Company Name, and Fun Fact. Next, I would go to Amazon, type in Matcha, and write down all the companies I find in that spreadsheet.

Now we go to each of those company’s websites and find some emails. You can either find the emails through the contact page or using software like hunter.io.

Each time you find a company, write down a fun fact you can use in your email to them. Maybe they have a new limited-edition matcha. Maybe you love their colorful packaging. Maybe they’re headquartered in your hometown. Find some way to stand out in your email.

After you’ve got all this info written down in your spreadsheet, you can start to email those companies one by one and find a way to work with them.
